Captain Nathan Lowe competes in the 200 IM

Boys Swimming – The Boys swim took another loss last Friday at their first away meet against O’Dea 58-116. The team has become more experienced over the season and swimmers have started to qualify for metros and districts.

Their next meet is at Meadowbrook pool against Ingraham Friday, January 22nd at 3:30. It is also Senior Night.

Varsity Boys Basketball – The Varsity boys played 4 games this past week. They suffered 3 losses and won one game. On January 12th the boys took on Bainbridge at home in a conference game. They lost 54-64. They lost a second conference game at Chief Sealth 78-46. They also lost a very close non-conference against Blaine 77-71. The boys concluded their week with their second win of the season against Northwest at home in a non-conference game 64-53.

The Raiders next play an away conference game at Ingraham Friday, January 22 at 8pm

Varsity Girls Basketball – The Girl’s Varsity Basketball team this year has played really close games but has had no wins. This past week they played Tahoma (52-18), Bainbridge (48-13) and Chief Sealth (52-23).

The next game, January 20th, Nathan Hale will play Lakeside at a home non-conference game and 7:30pm.

Varsity Wrestling – Varsity Wrestling team last meet was on December 19. They placed 3rd out of 11 in their last non-conference meet, The Barry Knott Classic. This Season they are 1-1.

Next meet is at hale Thursday, January 21st at 7pm.

Gymnastics – Last Saturday, the gymnastics team had an invitational at Mt. Rainier High School. Every student that was sent to the meet placed in the event. This past tuesday, the 12th, Nathan Hale placed third in a meet against Bainbridge and Holy Names, two very tough teams to beat.

The next meet is Friday, January 22rd, a home meet and also Senior Night.
The following meet is the last meet and also Mrs. Davis’s last night, she will be retiring after this year.
