Editorial Policy

The Nathan Hale Sentinel, as a student publication, strives to be the best newspaper is can be, and represent Nathan Hale High School. The Sentinel is an open forum with free speech rights protected under the First Amendment. The Sentinel Staff are in control of and responsible for the Sentinel’s content. Administrators have a non-review role and do not control prior to publication, though suggestions and criticisms are welcome after the fact. The Sentinel’s editorial staff present one main editorial per issue which reflects the opinion of all the editors. Individual editorials reflect the opinion of the writer and no one else. This is implied for every past edition printed, even those that do not explicitly state this policy. We accept signed and appropriately written submissions from the Nathan Hale student body at tmlockery@seattleschools.org.
